It’s a Pain in the Ass to Promote Your Book Online

Are You Kidding Me? Book Release Sept 2014 - Stacey GustafsonTo promote your  book online is more difficult than trying to get your teenager to do calculus homework on a Friday night during a Pretty Little Liars marathon. But sometimes you get lucky and the right person enjoys what you have to offer. For me, that was Roz Warren. She took a liking to my novel, Are You Kidding Me? My Life with an Extremely Loud Family, Bathroom Calamities, and Crazy Relatives and posted a review on the Huffington Post. Presto, it climbed up to the Book home page. Here’s an excerpt:

Stacey Gustafson: An Erma for the Cell Phone Era

Roz says, “It’s easy to enjoy these quick, upbeat glimpses into suburban family life. Gustafson covers much the same ground as Erma Bombeck, but updated for the 21st century, with a splash of Seinfeld-esque observational humor mixed in.”

Hot damn. She called me “…grouchy, but she’s never mean-spirited” but also “at heart, a loving wife and mom.” I’ll take it!

Hop on over to the Huffington Post to read the whole review. And while you’re there, post Like and Comment on the review. Thank you.
