Are you sick of hearing about the NFL investigation against the New England Patriots, unofficially called Deflate Gate? The NFL believes that the Patriots used under-inflated footballs in the first half of Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts. For God’s sake, even Bill Nye the Science Guy’s getting involved in the scandal.

Now I don’t know much about football as anyone who knows me will attest to but I do know a lot about statistics. There’s practically a zero probability that 11 out of 12 footballs were accidentally deflated. Come on Patriots, how stupid do we look?

Shame on You Tom Brady

In the beginning of the week, Bill Belichick, Patriots coach, and Tom Brady, quarterback, denied knowing that the footballs used during the game were deflated. Really? I even know when my kid’s sports equipment is under inflated. No rocket science needed.

Bill Nye Weighs In

I had to check out Bill Nye’s YouTube video on the debate. He loaded twelve football into refrigerators at 51 degrees, same temperature as the game. After a few minutes, he squeezed the footballs and said, “I think the Patriots bent the rules a little bit.” And ended the video with a message to anger the New England fans, “Go Seahawks!” Touche’.
