I’ve met a group of women that will restore you faith in human kindness, the Alamo Women’s Club. They inspire with their boundless enthusiasm and benevolence through their charitable acts. I’m proud to call them my friends and be a part of their movement to help those in need through philanthropy.
The Alamo Women’s Club is the oldest women’s club in Alamo, serving the community by bringing women together for fun, learning, sharing and philanthropy.
Hop over to their website to discover how you can be a part of their efforts to make our community a better place for everyone to live, learn and thrive.
Alamo Women’s Club Charities
Here’s just a snippet of the groups they support:
- Youth Homes – a very special organization that cares for abused and traumatized foster children from 13-18 and for continued support of 18-24 year olds
- George Mark Children’s Home – respite care for children and their families
- Canine Companions for Independence
- East Bay Hospice
- VESTIA – services for low income children and families
- WeCare Services for Children – pre-school for children with special needs.
They are proud to have donated over $100,000 in the last 5 years to a wide array of local causes, including $47,000 donated to local students for scholarships.
